Rob Proietto

Dr. Rob graduated from Boston College in 2003, he went on to work as a veterinary technician and earned a Master’s degree in animal nutrition at the University of Connecticut before earning his veterinary degree (VMD) at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, Dr. Rob completed a one-year rotating internship in medicine, surgery, and veterinary business management at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Dr. Rob moved to New York City and began working as a Staff Emergency Veterinarian for Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists (FAVS). At FAVS, he was in charge of the emergency service and care of critically-hospitalized patients. He also trained rotating interns who are now some of the best veterinarians that New York City has to offer (one of them being our own Dr. Gangadin).

Dr. Rob then moved to Gainesville, Florida while his wife Laura was finishing her residency in veterinary ophthalmology and worked as a general practitioner with an interest in advanced imaging techniques, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Rob has been at Scarbrough Animal Hospital since 2017 and lives with his wife Laura, their Labrador Retriever “Prima”, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel “Penelope”, and their cats “PC” “Piper” and “Paige” here in Fort Lauderdale.
